Track an Order's Production Steps in Traffic-Light Colours
The Andon board from Peakboard shows the individual production steps of an order in the classic traffic-light scheme. If a step isn't running to plan, the red light reveals where the problem sits. Alongside, the order status appears in real time.

While an order is being produced
– without Peakboard
How far the individual work steps have got isn't visible on the shop floor.
A fault only becomes known when someone passes it on.
How far the order is overall sits somewhere else again.

with Peakboard
- The board shows the individual production steps of an order in the traffic-light scheme.
- One glance is enough: the red light shows whether and where there's a problem.
- The order status appears in real time.
- In the example, the data comes via MQTT – many other data sources work just as well.

Connect over 100 data sources. No integration project needed.
Native SAP connector, OPC UA, MQTT, and dozens of other sources are available out-of-the-box. You just connect, instead of integrating – and the data appears directly at the shop floor.

Every production step of an order gets its own indicator in the traffic-light scheme. Alongside it, the order status runs in real time. The data comes via MQTT; alternatively you can connect OPC UA, Siemens S7, Azure Event & IoT Hub, Werma, Beckhoff Automation, Rockwell Automation or MT Connect.
How does the board show the status of production steps?
Each production step is shown in the typical traffic-light colour scheme – a glance at the red light instantly shows if and where there's a problem.
What data source does this Andon board use?
MQTT in the example. Other machine-level connections work just as well, such as OPC UA, Siemens S7, Azure Event & IoT Hub, Werma, Mitsubishi Electric, Beckhoff Automation, Bosch IoT Gateway, Rockwell Automation, or MT Connect.
Is the order status also displayed?
Yes, the overall order status is tracked in real time alongside the individual production steps.
Can I extend the board with further orders?
Yes, you can add further orders and production steps in the Peakboard Designer. If you're after a filterable list of all open production orders instead, there's a ready-made solution in the Order Status Overview.
Can I customise the board myself, without IT?
Yes. Peakboard is a low-code platform: you change production steps, traffic-light logic, and layout by drag-and-drop in the Peakboard Designer.
Does the board run on-premises or in the cloud?
Peakboard runs entirely on-premises on your own network – production data never leaves the company. There's no cloud requirement and no dependency on US-based infrastructure providers – 100% GDPR-compliant.
